Your Preview Weekend begins the moment your wheels hit the runway at Montego Bay (MBJ). A Resort driver will greet you outside Customs, handle your luggage, and whisk you along the coastal road. Relax, watch the sugar-cane fields slip past, and let the bursts of bougainvillea remind you that you’ve arrived somewhere special.

Early Check-In & Exploration
Official check-in is 3 p.m., yet our team will always do what they can if you arrive ahead of schedule. While your suite is prepared, feel free to wander the grounds, claim a lounger beside the pool, or—if you’re feeling brave—step up to the cliff ledge and take the plunge into crystalline Caribbean waters.

Sunset Cocktails
As day softens into gold, join us on the western terrace for welcome drinks. It’s a relaxed first chance to meet fellow members of The Group, trade travel stories, and toast to the weekend ahead while the sun melts into the sea before you.

Dinner “Under the Almond Tree”
When the last light fades, we’ll guide you to our open-air dining terrace, shaded by a quarter-century-old almond tree. Here “under the almond tree” you’ll enjoy a chef-curated menu that pairs island ingredients with cosmopolitan technique—a phrase that will hold deeper meaning by the time you depart.

Rick’s Café Cliff Show
Just a short ride from The Resort, Rick’s Café is Negril’s most famous—and most frenetic—watering hole. Owned, surprisingly, by a businessman from Schenectady, New York, the venue “busses them in” every afternoon for music, rum punches, and cliff-jumping spectacle. When the cheers peak, you might watch a local climb a palm tree perched atop the cliff, salute the crowd, and launch twenty meters down into turquoise water. Join a few friends for the show, then slip back to our quieter sanctuary whenever you’ve had your fill.

Seven-Mile Beach Stroll
If crowds aren’t your style, let the driver drop you at the north end of Negril’s powder-white, seven-mile strand. Kick off your sandals, walk south with the tide licking your ankles, and stop for a cold Red Stripe at whichever beach bar calls your name.

Sea Lovers’ Option
Snorkel coral gardens, book a PADI dive, or charter a catamaran for a lazy sail—our Member Services desk will match you with the right captain and the right reef, and outline any charter or equipment fees in advance.

Of course, no one will blame you for spending the entire afternoon horizontal at the pool; sometimes doing nothing is the most luxurious plan of all.

Good morning! Pull back the drapes and let the turquoise glow of the Caribbean wash over your suite. Trade neon lights for sea-sparkle, fill your lungs with salt air, by now the pace of island life should have settled in.

Breakfast is served just steps away—on the verandah, in your villa courtyard, or delivered to bed if you’d rather stay wrapped in linen. Fresh-cut mango, Blue Mountain coffee, and coconut water are waiting to revive even the sleepiest soul.

Equity-Member Business Huddle
At mid-morning, Equity Members are invited to for a concise financial update on The Group’s holdings and next-quarter plans. Coffee, pastries, and panoramic views included.

Lagoon-Style Pool Party
From noon the vibe shifts to our toptional lagoon pool—an elaborate oasis with a palm-topped island and a swim-up bar outfitted with underwater stools. Another guest DJ blends laid-back soca with deep-house remixes while bartenders keep daiquiris, rum punches, and cold-brew tonics circulating. Sunshine, music, and no judgment: the perfect afternoon to swim, dance, and connect.

Dinner is Your Canvas
Evening dining is entirely yours to design. Ask our concierge to reserve a table “under the almond tree” for a you and a few friends, slide over to nearby Ivan’s a favorite for locals, or the Rock House Hotel for pepper pot soup and curried chicken, or order grilled lobster to your patio and dine beneath the stars in private.

Special After Party
When darkness deepens, lanterns will guide you to an invite-only after-party—the exact spot revealed by text just before dusk. Expect an intimate mix of cliff-edge torches, small-batch rum cocktails, and The Group’s signature touch of surprise. We will party in paradise, and can celebrate every bit as well as we did in Vegas, only with a softer breeze and a brighter sky of stars.

After a weekend of new friendships, cliff-side sunsets, and midnight laughter, Sunday morning brings the tradition everyone now waits for: Farewell Brunch Under the Almond  Tree. Long tables are dressed in crisp linen beneath the sprawling limbs of our special, its leaves filtering the early light into soft green-gold. Steel-pan melodies drift across platters of rum-soaked French toast, ackee-and-saltfish sliders, and bottomless mimosa carafes. It’s a leisurely, no-rush affair—time enough to swap numbers, promise reunions, and raise one last toast to a weekend well-lived.

When the final coffee is poured and the last farewell hugged out, our drivers will be waiting at the porte-cochère. Luggage loaded, chilled towels offered, you’ll ride in comfort back to Montego Bay Airport (MBJ), the Caribbean still sparkling in the rearview and your next return already on your mind.

So, you skipped the convoy to MBJ yesterday. Can’t say we’re surprised. When cliff-top sunsets pair with bottomless mimosas, time moves on island settings only parrots understand. Whether you craved one more slow morning with your better half or simply hit snooze once too often, we’re delighted you’re still with us.

Breakfast? Wherever you fancy it: in bed, on the patio, or barefoot at the bar ordering “the usual.” By now you know the drill—tell us what you want; it appears.

Need a reason to justify an extra day? Ask the concierge about scuba refreshers, couples spa appointments, or absolutely nothing at all. Sometimes “horizontal by the pool” is a perfectly valid appointment.
