Valentine’s In Cuba

Wednesday, February 13 – Sunday, February 17, 2019

My Dear Friends,

It is with great joy that we present the following weekend in Cuba. Having been to Cuba in the past, we have been excited to see the continual reduction in many of the challenges, related to traveling there from the United States. Gone are the days of in-person interviews by over-zealous customs agents, complicated forms, and US-Cuba flight restrictions.

You may now fly direct, from the United States to Cuba, on a variety of airlines and purchase your Visa online with the click of a button. So, like our other weekend events in Napa, Manhattan, and Miami, we will be handling the daily itinerary, and you simply need to select the number of days you wish to attend and purchase your own airfare.

Our goal for this event was to bring the price down as low as possible, and shift the focus from exploring the Cuban culture to just having as much fun as we could. To put this in perspective, the cost of our first trip to Cuba was more than double what we have organized for this special Valentine’s weekend getaway.

We will again be working with the incomparable Carol Steele, Grammy winner, Nat Geo Tour Guide and all around good egg. Backing her up will be the fellas from Cuba Educational Travel, who we have worked with in the past. With all that said, we look forward to welcoming to warm and sunny Cuba this February.

Warmest Regards

Director, The Group

For those members of The Group, with US Passports, traveling to Cuba is only a little more complicated then traveling to other cities in and around North America.

For Cuba you will need a Visa. Because we are avid American Airlines passengers, and have flown with them to Cuba in the past, we will share our recommendations here.

American Airlines flies direct to Havana, Cuba from their hubs in Charlotte, North Carolina and Miami, Florida. If necessary, you may purchase your Visa the day of travel at either of these airports for a small premium.

Before booking your flights, we recommend that you review the American Airlines – Travel to Cuba page, at:

and after you buy your flights, that purchase your Visa in advance at:
